Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DropVeil ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including free and paid subscribers.

2. Description of Service

DropVeil provides encrypted cloud storage and file sharing services. Files uploaded to the Service are encrypted using AES-256 on the client side before transmission. DropVeil does not have access to your encryption keys or the contents of your files.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your encryption passphrase. DropVeil cannot recover files if you lose your passphrase due to the zero-knowledge architecture.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to store, distribute, or share content that violates applicable laws in your jurisdiction. DropVeil reserves the right to suspend accounts that generate excessive automated traffic or are used for purposes that degrade service quality for other users.

5. Data Storage and Availability

DropVeil maintains redundant copies of encrypted data across geographically distributed servers within the European Union. While we target 99.97% uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance windows are announced 48 hours in advance via the status page.

6. Payment and Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Prices are listed in EUR and include applicable taxes. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are provided within 14 days of initial purchase only.

7. Limitation of Liability

DropVeil's liability is limited to the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim. DropVeil is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including data loss due to user error or lost encryption keys.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Poland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Warsaw.
